Restore from backup
#1
I can't seem to find anything on how to restore my CQC configuration from a backup.  I had to reinstall and I'd like to be able to use my old settings.

I was new to CQC when they shut the site down, but really like its stability vs other options...and want to get this running again.

Thanks for any tips.

Does this help? sic0048 had a thread on the original forum. maybe this CQC article from the waybackmachine helps?

Pretty sure also I have done a fresh complete CQC software install with the same version as backup. Then just restored all  the C:/Program Filesx86/CQC/CQCData folder files from backup.

It did help.

Apparently my backups were corrupted, but I was able to get into the Admin Interface so that I could see what events & drivers I had set up.

I eventually had to do a clean install and reconstruct my settings.

Maddeningly enough...I cannot get to the help documents.  I keep getting the message "The address of Master Server's web server could not be gotten"

Thanks

Dave

During the initial install, their is a setting for which port you want to use for the Master Server's web server and also the help files.  As I recall you can change that so it is not a standard port like 80, and they can be different.
